Why "Revenant"
The bison nearly disappeared once. We don't take that for granted.
A revenant is something that comes back — from near-extinction, from being forgotten, from the edge of gone.
That's the whole story of the American bison, and it's been ours too since my grandfather started our bison ranch in 1989. Born and raised in Shadehill, he wanted to create a legacy as stewards of the land.
Every steak, every roast, every pound of ground bison we sell is a small continuation of that comeback — raised slow, raised outdoors, raised right on 10,000 acres.
