The bison nearly disappeared once. We don't take that for granted.
A revenant is something that comes back — from near-extinction, from being forgotten, from the edge of gone.
That's the whole story of the American bison, and it's been ours too since we started raising them in 1989. For most of those years, we sold the way ranches always have — through the usual channels, no website, no direct sales. That changed two years ago, when we started selling straight to your table for the first time. This site, and the new name, are us finally showing up the way we should have all along.
Every steak, every roast, every pound of ground bison we sell is a small continuation of that comeback — raised slow, raised outdoors, raised right.
